About Maria

I ran a licensed childcare and preschool for 12 years for children ages newborn - 12 yrs. Children are my passion and I cannot imagine enjoying anything more than working with them. I have experience with special needs and children on the autism spectrum. I speak English, some Spanish, and sign language. I feel that every child is unique and special and believe in positive encouragement. I will keep your children safe and active & help out with household chores. I homeschooled my own children and spent 3 years working in the K-5 Iredell Statesville Schools. If your child(ren) are opting for online school I can absolutely help to facilitate their schooling. I can also create individually based curriculum for your children aged 6mo - 5yrs that focuses on communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/emotional development and problem solving skills if interested.
