About Whitney

Hi! I'm Whitney! I live in Connecticut and have a warm, patient personality. I love learning, exploring, and creating meaningful connections with people. I have over 10 years of experience teaching English to children in China and also tutor elementary and math. I'm CPR certified, volunteer in my community, and enjoy helping kids learn in a fun and encouraging way. Travel is a huge passion of mine. I've lived in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Albania, and recently spent a year traveling throughout Europe, meeting new people, trying new foods, and experiencing different cultures. I'm also an esthetician and nail technician with a passion for beauty and wellness. In my free time, I love cooking, being outdoors, playing guitar, board games, video games, and learning pickleball. I have ADHD, which has helped me understand that every child learns differently. I especially enjoy supporting neurodivergent children with patience, flexibility, and encouragement.
