About Valerie

I am currently looking for child and adult care support roles. I have 7 years volunteer/personal experience and 2 years of paid experience caring for children between the ages of 7 months to 12 years old. I was a Jumpstart Corps Member and tutor in college and currently volunteer in Kids Ministry at my church. It's really taught me how to encourage and empower kids. Growing up, I took care of my younger brother with severe autism when my mother was at work. I would feed, bathe, and sometimes tuck him into bed at night. The last 3 years, I worked at a non-profit that cares for homeless individuals. I provided trauma informed care and encouragement to adults and the elderly that suffer from mental and physical illness. I have experience handling emergency situations. I love to cook and enjoy cleaning; I am open to meal prep, cooking, organizing and cleaning. Overall, I am attentive, receptive to learning, dedicated and happy to help. Adult and Pediatric First Aid / CPR /AED trained.
