About Valerie

Hi! I'm Valerie, a 20-year-old Psychology major at Hofstra University. I'm reliable, organized, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping children feel comfortable, supported, and engaged. I have experience working with children ages 4-8 through Hofstra's Camp CHAT selective mutism program, where I helped support children through structured and encouraging activities. I also helped care for my younger sister throughout her childhood. My psychology coursework has given me a foundation in child development, including the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children at different ages. I enjoy crafts, games, puzzles, reading, and other age-appropriate activities. I'm also happy to help with simple meals and light tidying related to the children.
