Hello, my name is Uba I'm a compassionate and dedicated caregiver with years of experience supporting individuals and families in meaningful, life-enhancing ways. During my sophomore year at the UofO. I worked as a personal caregiver for an individual in their 50s who had been quadriplegic due to muscular atrophy since their teenage years. For two incredible years, I attended to all aspects of his daily life, from meal preparation and personal care to dressing, mobility support, and companionship. This deepened my appreciation and respect, reinforcing my commitment to providing attentive and dignified care. Since then I have worked with children of various ages and neurodiverse backgrounds, including non-verbal and non-neurotypical. I have served as a therapy assistant, physical trainer, character mentor, and companion for children ranging from ages 2 to 14. I bring reliability, kindness, and a sense of purpose to every role. From the first day, Uba came through for us. He and my son bonded right away and developed a solid rapport. He is a very kind person and fit well into our household. He drove our son to appointments, learned from therapists what they were doing and incorporated that into his interactions with out son. He'd also step in and do little extra things when we couldn't keep up in busy times. We were sad to see him go as school demands and new schedules changed our needs. I'd hire him back if I could!
