We hired Taylor for two paid trial days as a part-time nanny for our daughter. Knowing that she had limited childcare experience, we made arrangements to provide additional training and support to help her get comfortable with the position. Unfortunately, Taylor stopped responding to our messages when we attempted to confirm the first trial day and ultimately no-showed without any communication or explanation. We had made arrangements around her scheduled start date and were prepared to invest additional time in training her, so the lack of communication was particularly disappointing. We understand that circumstances can change, but we would have appreciated the basic professionalism of letting us know she was no longer interested in the position rather than simply not showing up.
