About Tara

I'm an experienced, dependable caregiver with a special love for newborns, infants, and toddlers. I recently completed Foundational Newborn Care Specialist training through Newborn Care Solutions and have professional experience caring for babies beginning at about 6 weeks old. I'm comfortable with feeding, bottles, naps, soothing, developmental play, outings, and daily routines, and I use ASL to encourage early communication. I'm a mom of two grown daughters and spent many years homeschooling and managing a busy household. Music is a particular strength--I play piano, guitar, and ukulele and love bringing singing and music into a child's day. I'm active and creative and enjoy reading, outdoor adventures, library trips, art, baking, and imaginative play. In my free time I enjoy hiking, sewing, knitting, live music, and creative projects. I have a B. A. in Sociology from CSU, CPR/First Aid certification, and bring a calm, reliable, organized presence to the families I work with.
