She would sit with my mother and they would discuss my mother's travels which often meant the same conversation every five minutes.

She made sure mom maintained as much independence as possible, allowing her to go on a walk, while following far enough behind to insure her safety.

When I came to Care.com six months ago, my son and I were struggling with care for my mom who was often sun downing.  We were both finding it difficult to work with any regularity.  We found Tabitha who came highly recommended still it's hard to put your mother's welfare into someone else's hands.  Tabitha stepped in knowledgeably from 8 to 12 6 days a week and provided companionship, medication management, mobility assistance, cleaning for mom, laundry, and breakfast immediately.  Over time, mom worsened so she adjusted to the need.  She also had a trip out of the country and found someone reliable to help in her absence.  Tabitha stayed in touch sending photos we could share with mom.  She returned with lovely gifts.    Eventually, my mom got too difficult for one person to manage moving her so we had to put her in a care home.  Mom misses her and was super grateful that she came to visit.  I'd highly recommend Tabitha to care your family member.

Words cannot possibly describe how amazing Tabitha and her sister Serah are as individual caregivers and as a team.  For over a year Tabitha and Serah provided the best care possible for my mother.  They were 110% committed to being punctual, responsible, kind, caring, respectful and provided the greatest support to my parents and me and my family as we helped our elderly parents.  

Tabitha is highly trained and patient and knew exactly how to handle all the issues that come with dealing with elderly and sick people.  Not only did she provide support with the activities of daily living to my parents, but she also helped with light housework, medications, appointments, and light cooking.  She is honest, hardworking and reliable and has the best personality.  She treated my parents as her own and we consider her our family now.  Know that your loved one is in the best possible hands with Tabitha and if needed with her and her sister Serah as a team.  She is a blessing!

Tabitha cared for my mom and dad for about 5 years until they passed away. She allowed my parents to live with dignity and stay in their own home which is what they both wanted. the care that Tabitha provided was excellent. i don't know what my family would have done without her and we thank our lucky stars that we found her! if you need senior care for your loved ones do not hesitate to hire her, you will be glad you did. 

Tabitha cared for my aging parents for almost five years, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She provided superior, compassionate in-home care to my mom and dad during a most difficult time. It was a long term engagement for my family, and over Tabitha's employment there were seldom, if ever, any problems or issues. Tabitha took care of my parents health, diligently following hospice staff's directives. She kept my parents fed, preparing simple meals, bathed, engaged with life to fullest that their failing health would allow. Additionally, she helped keep the house tidy, performing basic household cleaning and chores on a weekly schedule.  Hiring in-home caregivers is a huge commitment, both personally and financially. Tabitha made it clear on a daily basis why it was the right decision to allow my parents to live out their lives in their own home. She has my highest recommendation.

Tabitha provided care for my wife Rene', during the last years of her life. She became like family and even came to her funeral (unpaid and unsolicited!). She is a remarkable woman from Kenya, intelligent, hardworking, responsible, and pretty much did anything we needed including driving to physicians. Tabitha is a very caring, knowledgeable, and dependable sitters/companion I know. The resident and the resident's family love her. I am the nurse and team leader in a nursing home and she is the sitter for one of my residents.
