About Sylvie

Hi!! My name is Sylvie, I'm 18 and a recent Brighton High School graduate! I moved to Ypsilanti to pursue my dream of becoming an elementary or secondary teacher. I love kids, helping others, volunteering, animals, and I'm passionate about ASL, which I hope to continue studying. I'd describe myself as resilient, hardworking, and honest. I love working with kids because every child has a unique personality, and I enjoy watching them learn, grow, and gain confidence while creating a safe, fun environment. I've been caring for kids for as long as I can remember as a big sister, along with a few babysitting jobs. In my free time I love being outdoors, skiing, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. I'm motivated to build genuine connections, not just earn a paycheck. My strengths include patience, creativity, and helping children feel calm, supported, and included.
