About Stephanie

Hello! My name is Stephanie, and I am currently a preschool teacher at a private preschool while finishing my education at CCNY with a major in Early Childhood Education. It's a joy for me to watch children learn and grow and being a part of their discovery process. It's an honor to contribute to their growth! I've worked with all dynamics of families; families with 5 kids in Wisconsin, children with learning disabilities in NYC, and tutoring and assisting children from low-income homes in the projects of LA. I was given the opportunity to care for children at an orphanage in Zambia, Africa the summer of 2011. I lived with and looked after 8 young children, eventually earning the title, "Aunty Steph." My passion for children's literacy was ignited after seeing how much the kids learned from the few children's books in the orphanage. Along with teaching and 10 years of babysitting experience, I am certified in CPR as well as lifeguard certified. I was a lifeguard and swim teacher in high school for 2 years. I also taught basketball for 10-year-old girls at summer camps. I love being outdoors, reading and writing, and being surrounded by friends and family!
