About Sophie

Hi! I'm Sophie, and I'm looking to connect with a few great families for occasional childcare. I have a Master's in Social Work and currently work as a paraeducator in a special education classroom at a local elementary school. My experience includes working in a daycare with children ages 7 weeks to 6 years, over three years in inclusive recreation/ summer camps, and social work in both emergency room and community mental health settings supporting adults, children and families. I've previously held CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), lifeguard, and food handler certifications. I moved to Portland two years ago with my dog, Roo, and now live and work in SE Portland. I'm typically available weekday evenings after 5 p.m. and on weekends. I'm hoping to build relationships with a few local families who need a reliable, trusted babysitter for occasional care.
