About Shayna

I'd describe my personality as honest, mindful, and grateful. I like working with kids because they have the biggest imaginations and are a joy to be around. I'm looking for a care role that prioritizes consistency in order to measure the child/family's progress in target areas. I started working with kids when I was a 10 yr old child, tending for my neighbors newborn daughter for hours at a time. I then went on to (at the age of 18) working for several years in a neighborhood childcare center that my child also attended. In my spare time, I like to conduct research, sing, dance and hang out with my family! One thing you should know about me is that I am deeply passionate about mindfulness, so much so that I illustrated and authored a children's book based on the idea called "Calmest U". My skills include creativity, active listening, patience.
