We had a very concerning experience and I would not recommend hiring her for childcare. We did a “trial day” for 2 hours where both my partner and I were there and could see how she interacted with my son and everything seemed fine, and we chose to move forward hiring her. I arranged for her to babysit the last day of August and throughout September and confirmed the dates with her multiple times because communication had already been inconsistent. She specifically confirmed with me again on Thursday that she would be coming on Monday. On the morning she was scheduled to arrive, we texted her again to confirm. She read the message but did not respond and never showed up. We had relied on her for childcare, and because she gave us no notice whatsoever, my partner was unable to go to work. After this happened, I also saw another recent review describing a similar no-show experience. I had hired her before that review was posted, so unfortunately I did not have that information when making our arrangements. For a childcare provider, reliability and communication are essential. Confirming a job and then failing to appear or communicate left our family in an extremely difficult position. Based on our experience, I would not hire her again and would strongly caution other families to have backup childcare arrangements if considering booking her.
