About Sequoiya

Hi! I'm Sequoiya, a recent Portland transplant from Georgia and an experienced childcare professional with a passion for helping children learn and grow. I'm also a mom to an infant and a child with special needs, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and experience as a Toddler Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Special Education Paraprofessional, and School Director. I've cared for children of all ages and abilities and love creating safe, nurturing environments where children feel confident and supported. I believe children learn best through play, whether through books, crafts, outdoor adventures, or everyday moments of discovery. I'm patient, dependable, and value strong communication with families. My goal is to provide care that feels warm, engaging, and like a home away from home.
