I just wrapped up three years with a wonderful Christian family and ready to find another family to help. I'm a Texas gal, born and raised. As the oldest of 11 (yes, I have 10 younger siblings), I have over 25 years of experience with children of all ages, from newborn to school age. But I also have 15+ years of paid experience. My favorite job in the world is being Aunt Sara to nine nieces and nephews. Babies are my specialty, but I work well with all ages. I'm a bit no-nonsense as children get old enough to follow the rules. I believe that cheerfulness and firm boundaries are the best recipe for a great day. My favorite thing is getting down on the floor to snuggle and play, and making little ones laugh. Preferred schedule: one or two full days per week rather than half days for a full week. Rate: $25-30/hr. (Negotiable for a wonderful fit.) Okay with dogs. Allergic to cats. Non-smoker, trying to quit coffee. CPR/infant first-aid certified, willing to refresh.

I recently hired Sara to watch my 2yo daughter. She was wonderful! She came for an interview in advance and I was sure right away that she was "the one". My daughter was comfortable with her right away and Sara was very professional/knowledgeable. In addition to doing lots and lots of playing during the babysitting session, Sara helped my daughter use the potty (and clean up!) and she also helped her with a snack. I know my kiddo had a wonderful time with Sara because she's still talking about it and has asked excitedly when she will come back! I was so relieved to find someone I feel like I can trust to care for my child. We will definitely be hiring her again!
