About Samrawit

Samrawit is an exceptionally trustworthy, calm, and empathetic caregiver, as well as an all-around wonderful person. She was our full-time nanny (40+ hours / week) for 9+ months, from when our daughter was 8 months to 1.5 years old. The only reason we stopped working together is that I left my full-time job. We still rely on her for occasional babysitting.  When we were hiring a nanny, Samrawit stood out from everyone else we interviewed in-person because she immediately asked what types of play/songs our daughter most loved, and then perfectly matched her temperament/energy to put her at ease. That kind of highly sensitive, attuned caregiving is an amazing strength of Samrawit's. She instantly bonded with my daughter and was able to comfort and engage her as she grew from a baby to a toddler, whether through dramatic play like using funny voices during storytime or through active play running around at the park. As an employee, Samrawit was punctual, communicative, and proactive. Our family had fairly specific preferences around health/hygiene, screentime, interaction with other kids, etc. and she was always very respectful of that. Samrawit is soft-spoken but also direct, and I really appreciated how clear she was when asking questions, sharing updates on our daughter, etc. I highly recommend Samrawit as a nanny and would hire her back in a heartbeat!
