About Raquel

Raquel worked for us for 11 years on a full time basis, 5 days a week, 6 to 8 hours per day. She cared for my wife who was a stroke survivor. My wife was hemiplegic, so paralyzed on one side; she could not walk on her own. Raquel helped my wife with essentially all activities of daily living (getting in/out of bed, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, etc.) except eating, which my wife could handle on her own. Raquel always performed these duties in an exceptional manner. Additionally, Raquel learned physical and occupational therapy from the outside therapists we used for several years. During COVID, the therapists wouldn’t allow us to come to their facility for our usual sessions, so Raquel and I took over these duties. After a while, Raquel did it all on her own, which meant daily walking (with a quad cane) alongside my wife, and stretching each morning in bed and then later in the day table stretching. She also handled the usual light household duties (washing the dishes, etc.). She is super attentive to cleanliness, and performed these duties to a T. If I needed help outside of Raquel’s normal duty hours, she always tried her best to make time for us. She is very personable and fit perfectly into our household. My wife loved her and so do I. Raquel is an exceptional caregiver, and whoever hires her will be lucky indeed. R
