About Raquel

Raquel took care of my 91 year old father the last four months of his days with us. My father suffered from dementia and advanced cardio vascular disease. He resided in a memory care ward, but we wanted private duty caregivers in addition as we live out of state. Raquel took him to his radiation treatments (for some skin cancer) and would take him on outings. I live out of state so Raquel was my eyes and ears. She was always on time if not early and never missed a day. My father would light up when he saw her. She is very good at her job and also a great communicator with the family. She would text me daily letting me know how his day was. She would send little videos of them and pictures. She had a way of talking my father down when he would become aggressive. Because I live across the country and could not get there in time, she was my surrogate as he held his hand as he passed on. Her words were in his ears and she was holding his hand.
