About Naama

Hello! I am a Mathematics PhD student and have worked as a math teacher and tutor for the past 9 years. I prioritize deep understanding over speed, working through fewer problems but making sure every step makes sense before moving on. I believe fostering confidence is essential to success in mathematics. While my specialty is in Math, I am also able to help with English and Science for younger students, and an an experienced pianist with two years of teaching music lessons. A typical session begins with the student bringing the questions or problems they're working through. When I notice a gap in knowledge or we hit a wall, we pause and slow down for a more thorough explanation rather than pushing forward. I tutor students working on coursework for a specific class, preparing ahead of an upcoming class, or studying for standardized tests, at any level, from elementary school through undergrad.
