Hi! I'm Mya, a 21-year-old senior, originally from North Carolina. I have 5+ years of childcare experience from working at Salem Gymnastics and Swim as a Rec Gymnastics Coach and Lead Kids Camp Counselor. I cared for up to 50 children ages 3-12 at a time and independently managed a group of 10. After moving to New York for college, I transitioned into private babysitting and have cared for families throughout the Westchester/Port Chester area for the past year. I have experience with babies and toddlers, including caring primarily for a 15-month-old this past summer, as well as children with autism and speech impairments. I'm responsible, patient, energetic, and love keeping kids engaged through play, crafts, outdoor activities, and routines. I'm also happy to take initiative with household tasks like tidying up after the kids, doing their dishes or laundry, and organizing play areas. My goal is to make things easier for both the children and their families!

Mya was amazing! First we hired her to help with the baby (who loved her), but after just one day, the older two declared she was theirs, so we hired her for all three, including one day with a 7 kid play date! She was incredible with them all—met each of them right where they were, and knew intuitively who needed special attention and where to go to be most helpful. While the baby napped, she cleaned up and folded laundry. Just constantly took initiative and fit right in.
