About Miya

My name is Miya, and I am a May 2024 graduate of Spelman College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I earned my Master of Health Science from Meharry Medical College in 2025 and am now applying to medical school to pursue my MD. I currently work at Northside Hospital as a Medical Assistant on the OBGYN floor, gaining valuable clinical experience and furthering my interest in medicine. I also have a passion for working with children and building meaningful connections with them. Growing up in a family that owns daycares, I gained childcare and nannying experience throughout my undergraduate years. I also interned with a pediatric neurosurgeon at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. I am BLS certified and trained in CPR and AED use. I am caring, reliable, and passionate about medicine and childcare. I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with you!
