Hello! My name is Melody. I have an English degree from Rhodes college & am trained in Orton-Gillingham & Wilson teaching methods. I have experience as a nanny, preschool teacher, private tutor, camp counselor, soccer coach, & paraprofessional! I am also a proud mom to the sweetest 3 yr old boy around! My experience is with children of all ages & along a vast spectrum of abilities & energy levels, most with autism or ADHD. I enjoy getting to know each child & love letting children teach me about the activities they enjoy. By doing so I'm able to help them foster their passions. I am a huge advocate of growth mindset teachings and subscribe to Big Life Journal! My favorite childcare activities are reading, music fun, baking, outdoor water play, crafting, & pretend play. Melody was nothing short of awesome in caring for our children! We had a great phone interview and we were able to meet in person so that she could get acquainted with the kids before the actual day of babysitting. Melody was very personable, caring and kept the kids active and entertained with different activities while we were away. Fun new memories were made for our kids and they were sad for her to leave. Melody was great and we’ll definitely be using her for our future babysitting needs!
