About Melanie

Hi! I'm Melanie, a college student at the University of Florida studying microbiology with the goal of becoming a pediatrician. I've spent the past two years working with elementary-aged children as an afterschool teacher and summer counselor, and working with kids is something I genuinely love. I'm very energetic, patient, and creative, and I love finding ways to make everyday activities fun-whether that's arts and crafts, games, reading, helping with homework, or just being silly and keeping kids entertained. I also have experience tutoring children in STEM and English, so I'm happy to help with schoolwork when needed. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. Most importantly, I want parents to feel comfortable knowing their child is with someone who will keep them safe, engaged, and cared for.
