About Maureen

I am English, from London and was a corporate transferee many years ago. I am caring, nurturing and highly responsible with 16 years experience as a professional nanny working with children from newborn to 14 years, I am very fit, athletic, and energetic. I am strongly in favor of playing with children at their level, literally and figuratively. I love to read stories, imitating the voices of the characters to make the story fun. It is my joy to establish a love for learning and nature in a child's early years. Over the past five years I have worked with two babies starting at four months. They are now in kindergarten and preschool, and still a very big part of my life. My leisure time includes hiking, gardening, and frequently visiting my charges who have now outgrown their need for me. I am looking for a long-term position of 3 or 4 days per week with one or two young children. I have many excellent letters of reference.
