About Maureen

Hi there! I'm happy to help care for your kids, and to have fun as well as to help them to learn! I come from a big family, and I have over 10 years of sitting experience for many families, including three summers of full-time experience nannying for two different families of six children. I have a PhD in philosophy, so I'm a teacher by profession and have taught 8th grade, 10-12th graders, and college students. I've also tutored younger kids in math, writing, vocab, French, Latin, and piano. Since I'm on summer break, I'd love to help out with sitting part-time. I especially like to help kids learn crafts (and learn alongside them), so I'm especially keen to do baking/cooking projects, gardening (although I'm a newb), sewing/knitting/crochet, drawing, etc with them, and anything active outside (including gardening, although I'm a newb).
