Hi, my name is Marissa and I am a 33-year-old single woman. In recent years, I have focused on college and my career (currently a pharmacy technician). However, I am interested in getting back into caretaking. In the past, I have been a babysitter for up to three children at once and I have participated in elderly / companion care. My favorite part about senior care is really getting to know them and just spending time with them. I am able to help with many things, but I am not able to do much heavy lifting. I'm just not that strong so I do not feel that I would be helpful in scenarios where people need help bathing that involves me lifting or transferring them.
