I have a California Dept. of Social Services Approval Letter as Home Health Care Aide, a First Aid/CPR certificate, Bachelors Degree major in Marketing. Am taking healthcare continuing education classes and courses outside of the healthcare field. Have 15+ years experience. Have cared for patients who suffered from a stroke, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, dementia, depression, post foot, knee, back surgeries. Assisted & supervised knee exercises with a video from a therapist. Shadowed a PT for the relief of chronic back & foot pain. Read altenatingly with patient books, Nat Geo/New Yorker's fiction/non fiction, poems, news and the funnies. Discuss, critique and laugh together. Am organized with tasks - mindful of medication prompting, meal time, journal blood pressure, putting dishes away, among others and address possible safey hazards. Am compassionate, perky, an efficient and reliable care aide/giver. It will be fulfilling to be part their well being.
