I am a reliable, energetic, and compassionate childcare professional with 6 years of experience working in education and high-intensity environments. I recently graduated from San Bernardino Valley College with degrees in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, and Liberal Studies, and I will begin attending Cal State San Bernardino this fall. My background as an Instructional Assistant working with behavioral and special needs students, along with five years as a Corrections Officer working with mental health individuals, has strengthened my patience, communication, and de-escalation skills. For example, I have successfully helped children through emotional outbursts by remaining calm, redirecting behavior, and reinforcing routines.
