Hi my name is Lois with 20 yrs experience as a CNA in Long Term Care Facilities, rehab , trach and vent facilities for adults as well as children , I have been self employed doing private home care now for the past 6 years I got into this profession because my mother was diagnosed with Dementia , and I saw the need for great caregivers , I am compassionate and patient , reliable and I have great references, I have a professional view and also a personal view because of my mother , and I treat everyone the way I wanted and expected my mother to be treated . I am outgoing, very friendly and a great communicator, I have experience with ALS patients, peg tubes, Cath care, feeding , and Dementia/Alzheimer's care , medication reminders , preparing meals , showering clients , helping with dressing , and driving to appointments , I am hoping to connect with a family to provide peace of mind knowing their loved one is well taken care of .

We were lucky enough to find Lois to care for our Mom. She has dementia and her short term memory is gone. She is very anxious and frightened about not knowing what is going on. When Lois came to care for her she brought her professionalism,patience and caring way about her. Lois was so good at handling Mom. She comforted her when she was afraid and went with whatever Mom was saying as to make her feel understood. Lois taught us all alot about handling our Mom. Her sunny personality just added to the many qualities Lois already had professionally. She would take her to her doctors appointments, meals,light cleaning and companionship. We all Loved having Lois to care for Mom. She worked for us for about a year until I retired. Now I can care for Mom. We miss Lois. We often will call her with questions on Mom's care.
