About Liz

I believe kids deserve caregivers who take the time to understand who they are, not just keep them occupied. I'm an experienced art teacher and educator who has worked closely with children and teens, including neurodivergent kids with a wide range of personalities, needs, and communication styles. Empathy and patience are at the center of how I work with children. I pay attention to what a child is communicating, even when they aren't communicating it with words, and I'm comfortable adapting when something that works for one child doesn't work for another. My background in art and education also means I'm a big believer in actually doing things together! I'd much rather spend an afternoon drawing, making up stories, crafting, playing games, exploring outside, or following a child's latest fascination than simply put them in front of a screen. Above all, I want the kids in my care to feel safe, respected, understood, and free to be themselves.
