Lia has been with us for over 5 months (full-time) and has been a wonderful help to our family. As first time, working parents, I don't think we could do it without her. Lia is always punctual, usually arriving early for the day. From our experience, she seems to really tailor her care based on the needs and personality of each child. When she started, our daughter was 6 months old, had a hard time transitioning to a new caregiver at first, and was behind with some motor skills (rolling, crawling). Lia is consistent and kind in providing the care, consistent routine, play, exercises and structure needed for our daughter to grow. Lia does the laundry, cleaning, and all-week meal prep for our child, takes her on walks, and will bring her to activities. She is excellent in communicating, providing us regular updates and suggestions for our daughter's development. We are expecting another baby girl this Spring, and we hope to have Lia stay with us to care for both babes!

Lia was great with my boys! They loved spending time with her, she was punctual and gets back to you right away when you message. I messaged her last minute when my backup care fell through and she messaged right away to help me out. I would definitely hire her again!

Lia began working as a full-time nanny for our boy/girl twins a little over one year ago, when they were about 4 months old. As first-time parents both with full-time jobs, I honestly don't think we would have survived this past year without her help. She helps us out with all things related to the babies, from obviously their care and development but also to helping with baths, cleaning their bottles, their laundry, and preparing their food. Lia is very kind and patient with our kids. She never lets the chaos that twins (especially now toddler twins) can sometimes bring. She has always been very flexible when we've needed to change our schedule (i.e., staying a bit late or coming a bit early).

Of Lia?s strengths, which there are several, her ability to effectively work in any environment stands out. I am home full-time while Lia is caring for G. This would be challenging for many, but not for Lia. This demonstrates a great deal of flexibility on Lia?s part. To add to her experience, she is professional, respects confidentiality, & is extremely punctual. She offers helpful recommendations for G (e.g., specific toys, food suggestions, nap techniques, development activities, etc.). I welcome & value her suggestions & advice! I met Liana a few months ago. My schedule had changed and I was in need of a nanny on Fridays and Sunday's. Lia has provided care for our twin boys since they were two weeks of age, and in September they will begin attending preschool.  She is an extremely experienced and caring professional nanny who is a dream come true for parents working full time.  

For infants, she is highly competent and attentive, and due to her extensive experience working as a nanny, she is able to easily attend to basic needs such as feeding, bathing, and developing sleep schedules while also exercising excellent judgment in handling unexpected situations such as minor illness and developmental changes. As our sons grew, she incorporated age-appropriate activities such as walks to the playground, games, and reading books.  She also prepared nutritious meals and snacks, and had dinner for the twins prepared when she left for the day.  Her professionalism is outstanding, and she is extremely dedicated, reliable, and trustworthy.

One of Lia's greatest strengths is her experience with multiples and infants/children with special needs.  We hired her due to our preference for a nanny who had experience with twins, and we were not disappointed.  She has dealt with many of the challenges of twins, such as synchronizing schedules and juggling the needs of two infants at once, and was able to give us many pointers. Lia came to look after our 6 week-old son for a day when I had to return to work early and our full-time provider was unavailable this past winter.  She was great with him and provided us with a detailed account of his day including naps, amount of bottles consumed, and number of diapers.  She seemed very at ease with him and was very nurturing.  We would have loved for her to have been our full-time nanny however we were moving to another state in a couple months and she was looking for a long-term position, understandably!

It is my pleasure to recommend Liana (Lia) Bias as a nanny.  She began caring for my 7 year old daughter and 15 month old twins back in January 2012. Lia has been my occasional and as needed nanny for almost a year now.  She began watching my three children when my son was three and my twin daughters were four months old.
