About Leah

Hello! My name is LJ, and I have had the joy of working in child care for the last 10 years. I'm currently working as an on-call nanny with toddler-age kids for a couple of families in the Hudson Valley, while working on my degree in sociology at Bard College. I'm also a musician! Since September 2025, I have worked closely with 4 families all around Ulster and Dutchess Counties, with children as young as 3 months all the way to 12 years. I specialize in working with neurodivergent children, getting to know their specific needs and interests. For 4 years I worked closely with two neurodivergent twin children, from age 8 to 12, of a family in Berkeley, CA. I assisted with remote learning, arts & crafts, music, outdoor exercise, and problem solving. I love to share my passion for creativity with growing minds! I've also worked as a dog walker and a barista, so pet care and tidying are well honed skills. I look forward to meeting you, and helping to care for your loved ones.
