Hi, I'm Laura, a loving, experienced mom and nanny! I am so excited to be able to nurture, love, and care for your children! Little ones have been my passion since I was a teenager, and now that my own children are getting older, I'm available to care for yours! In college, I worked in a home day care center with infants, and was also a nanny for a great family there. After graduating, I taught third grade, but then left teaching to return to infant and toddler care in a corporate day care setting. I have been a stay at home mom, homeschooling my children who are now 29 and 20. Currently, I have my CPR, SIDS, and Newborn Care Specialist Certifications. Even though I have a degree and a lot of experience, I think the most important thing to know about me is that I have a huge heart and a gift for caring for young children! When Laura came to our home to care for my son M, we were in the midst of his colic and things were hard! Not only was M having a hard time, but I was too! I doubted myself a lot even though I researched so much. Laura not only was SO good with M but she became a good friend to me too! Even though we sometimes disagreed on what was best, she always backed what I wanted to do (even when I wasn’t sure of myself either). This felt (and feels) important to me because I feel that I am growing in my confidence as a mom, and she helped me trust myself! We are so thankful for Laura and wish she could stay with us longer!
