About Kristin

I am an experienced Special Education Teacher with 33 years of teaching in New York schools. Currently, I am on leave from my position to help care for my elderly parents and my sister, who has cerebral palsy. During this time, I am looking for part-time opportunities to support other families and children. Throughout my career, I have worked with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and multiple disabilities. I have extensive experience with augmentative communication, including programming and implementing communication devices. In addition, I have ABA training and a strong background in developing individualized behavioral plans and systems to support student growth and independence. I am passionate about creating meaningful connections and helping children reach their fullest potential. I look forward to speaking with you and learning more about your child's unique needs.
