I am a 50-year-old mom of three, all still local, and they turned out pretty great, I have to brag! I was a SAHM for 12 years and got them all into adulthood safe and sound. My mom job is not over of course, and I am still the one they turn to for advice and help -- but they're adulting pretty well themselves so I have a lot time on my hands now. Not much can rattle me! I have been a baseball mom since 2004, a theater mom, a classroom volunteer, and was a teacher aide in a Kindergarten classroom. I have packed all the lunches, made all the dinners (not gourmet, mind you), and got everyone where they needed to be with uniforms, gear, backpacks, lunch money and... you get the idea. I know how to MOM. I am tech savvy and not much gets by me. I am an old school Gen Xer, but my main philosophy is to always try to find a way to say "yes," because we already hear lots of "no" in life. I will never say no out of laziness. In my opinion there is no more joyful sound than happy kids laughing!

Kristi is incredibly helpful and reliable. She watches our three children (all under the age of three) whenever we need her. She is very intuitive with babies and toddlers and that cannot be taught. It's a skill a person either has or doesn't have. She's also warm and loving, and very respectful of our parenting style. Sometimes nannies tend to adhere to "what they know is best" and offer unwanted opinions on parenting choices. There is none of that with Kristi. We make our wishes known and she honors them. She's even arrived at our door within minutes of a family emergency to put our kids to bed (not an easy feat) with a smile on her face, so we could be with our sick family member. She's everything you could hope for in child care.
