About Kira

Hello! I'm Kira, and I'm a credentialed elementary school teacher based in North County San Diego. I earned my bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and recently completed my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I just finished my first year as a full-time kindergarten teacher, and beginning this fall I'll be working as an intervention teacher, which gives me a flexible schedule for babysitting around a school schedule! Working with children has been a huge part of my life for years. In addition to teaching, I've babysat for families, led Girl Scout troops and encampments, and volunteered in Solana Beach, where I provided academic support to Spanish-speaking elementary school students. I love creating fun, safe, and nurturing environments where kids can learn and explore! I'm happy to share my resume, teaching credential, and references upon request.
