In fact, as I am writing this review, I just peeked into A’s room while she is napping, and Karisma is hard at work organizing A.’s clothes — something we have been meaning to do for weeks.. Another thing we really appreciate is how much ownership Karisma takes of the job. The other day, when she walked into the house, she saw my husband holding empty milk bottles from the night before that he was about to wash. Karisma took them from his hands and said, “That is for me to take care of.” We were honestly so impressed. It is rare to find someone who cares that much and treats the job with that level of responsibility. Safety is also a huge thing for us, especially now that A. has started walking. She is still a little wobbly, so my husband and I are always worried about her falling or getting too close to the stairs. Karisma is always watching her closely and making sure she is safe, without making things feel stressful or restrictive. One time, I randomly checked when A. was sitting in one of those high chairs that clamps onto the island, and it was very reassuring to see that Karisma had secured her belt properly. We have had a few scares before with A. trying to climb or jump out of chairs, so seeing how careful Karisma is really gave us peace of mind. Most importantly, Karisma is genuinely loving toward A. You can tell that she is not just “watching” her — she is caring for her. That makes us feel so comfortable and grateful. We have now hired Karisma for a regular recurring job for the summer because she is not only great at what she does, but she is also very reasonable with her hourly rate. Our journey with Karisma has just started, and we already feel very lucky to have found her. We plan to write another review after a few more months, but so far, we highly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, responsible, proactive, and loving caregiver.
