About Julia

My name is Julia, I am 26 years old, from Southington, CT. I am currently working as a mental health therapist for children and adults. My background in mental health and experience working with kids both clinically and as a caregiver gives me a wider perspective on child development, which I believe is an asset in encouraging developmentally appropriate behaviors. Empathy and understanding are thus the foundation of how I work with others, especially children. I have always loved working with kids and have years of experience in both daycare and nannying settings. I have worked with children of all ages, from infants to teens, and feel comfortable with any age. I have an outgoing personality, and really enjoy making the little things in life fun. My priorities are making the child feel safe, respected, and listened to, while encouraging independence and social skills. It is important to me that I spend time engaging with the children and encouraging their likes and interests.
