About Jaz

I would describe my personality as fun, creative and disciplined. I strive for excellence in everything I do and pride myself on my work ethic, while also maintaining a steady balance with my whimsy. I started working with kids when I was 15 caring for my baby sister. I then nannied for my sister in law for three years for her two children (under 5). I am now working at an elementary school as a Paraeducator, as well as coaching GU-14 soccer with AYSO. A few of my top child care skills include being a consistent trusted adult. I feel it's abundantly important that children have an adult they can come to that will help instead of judge in times of need. I am deeply caring and patient and understand that kids need to be kids in order to learn. Thanks to my training as a Paraeducator, I have learned several de-escalation techniques that maintain a safe, structured environment while also providing the discipline necessary to not engage in power struggles.
