My experience caring for seniors currently includes caring for 5 parents (alternately depending on their ailments) between 65 and 88 yrs. I have cared for my mother-in-law (88) after she had Sepsis, administering her IV antibiotic, and also a few years ago when she developed Shingles. I have cared for my father and stepmother (75, 65) due to their poor health, by taking them to Dr. and hospital visits, and helping in their home to make it a safer and healthier environment. Most recently I have cared for my mother (75) after knee surgery, taking her to appointments, and assisting her at home. I regularly provide meals, and do chores such as cleaning, running errands and safety checks around the house - lighting issues, cleaning out cabinets and refrigerators, etc. I have been a professional nanny for the past 21 yrs. and have also taught in preschools and daycare centers, but as my family members age, I enjoy helping them to update their homes and improve their quality of life!
