About Heather

Hello! My name is Heather and I have experience providing childcare to various ages. I am currently a Special Education Teacher. Before becoming a teacher, I was a full-time nanny for two school-age children for approximately two years. In this position, I helped the family with light housekeeping, meal-prepping, and other errands. My experience also includes working at a daycare as the lead teacher in a preschool classroom. In this position, I created a weekly schedule that followed the daycare center's curriculum, assisted the children in daily activities, such as art projects, throughout the day, and effectively communicated with my co-workers and parents to ensure a positive environment. I have babysat multiple children at one time. I also have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and ADD. I enjoy creating engaging and fun activities, spending time indoors and outdoors, playing board games, and doing crafts!
