Hi! I'm Emma, a UC Berkeley grad and dedicated caregiver with a passion for nurturing growth in children and animals alike. With over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring (K-12), a background as a daycare and after school program director and nanny, I've cared for all ages from newborns to teens. My approach prioritizes safety, curiosity, and hands-on learning. I love engaging kids through arts, outdoor play, and science experiments while balancing screen time with real-world interaction. My teaching philosophy focuses on the whole child, building self-efficacy and foundational skills through personalized, differentiated methods rather than rote memorization. As a lifelong animal lover, I also provide compassionate care for pets of all kind and can provide drop in, overnights, or boarding.
