Hi! I'm a energetic young woman looking to provide child care for families in the San Diego area. I've always loved working with kids. Children have a youthful perspective and innocence that is both exciting and refreshing. Their creativity is inspiring and ability to see the world in a beautiful way is always captivating. As an adult, I think it's great to be given opportunities to channel your inner child, and I think that's what has made me a successful child care provider. During my undergrad at the University of Oregon, I led a childcare classroom for about 3. 5 years. I worked with children from 0-10 years old regularly, but I was the childcare lead for a classroom tailored to kiddos ages 0-4 years old. I have experience working with kids ages 10+ and have offered tutoring services for elementary through high school grade levels. We had a great experience with Emily and would absolutely hire her again. During our video interview, we felt she was a great fit right away. She was personable, thoughtful, and answered all of our questions with confidence and maturity. We appreciated how she had good ideas for engaging our 2 boys (2 and 4), and demonstrated good judgment when discussing how she would handle challenging situations if they came up. Emily was prompt, reliable, and great with communication. She watched our boys for two full days and managed meals, nap routines, and playtime. The boys gave her a hard time the first morning (as they would with any new person!), but she handled it with ease. The boys asked at the end of the day if she could come back again, and the next day went very well. The boys loved her and we felt they were in good hands.
