About Deja

Hello! I'm De'ja, a Chicago-based caregiver with 7 years of experience caring for infants through elementary-aged children. I strive to create a safe, fun, and dependable environment where children can learn, play, and feel comfortable while parents have peace of mind. I have experience with Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches, incorporating art, loose parts, and imaginative play into daily activities. I enjoy creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that support academic and social development. I've also worked in programs that emphasize nature-based play, including outdoor exploration and community adventures, which is something I truly enjoy. I hold an Associate's degree in Arts with coursework in Early Childhood Education, and I'm currently pursuing my BA in an asynchronous online program for Psychology with a focus on child development. Some joys of mine include the arts, science, reading, playing games, K-pop, exploring different cultural cuisines and cafés!
