About Dakota

Hi! My name is Dakota and I'm a teacher with 4 years of teaching experience. Making children feel seen is my passion. I'm looking to provide weekend childcare for families who want someone responsible, caring, creative, and genuinely excited to spend time with their children. Through my experience, I've worked with kids with a variety of learning and developmental needs. I value meeting kids where they are, building trust, and creating a space where they feel comfortable being themselves. Embrace the weird! When I'm not in the classroom, I'm probably outside. I love camping, skiing, exploring nature, and finding little adventures. I'm also a registered artist with my tribe so arts and crafts, building things, and teaching kids hands-on skills is my jam. Last summer, I nannied and did just that with the kids I cared for, along with multisensory math tutoring. I'd love to connect with a family looking for weekend care or help during school breaks!
