About Chiara

Hi! I'm Chiara! After four years of nannying through college and falling in love throughout that experience (I still get calls from them!), I learned my goal is to learn along with and love all kiddos! Fast forward four years and now I am (and have been!) a second grade teacher in Alexandria City Public Schools with a passion for all things learning- no matter how that looks like, none of us learn the same!- and exploring the world with the students I have the opportunity to share it with! As a teacher, I truly believe each child is meaningful, capable, and incredible. I am trained and certified in Orton Gillingham but also have hands on experience from teaching a self contained classroom in all subjects. Teaching brings me joy because I touch so many lives and I get to see so much of THEIR joy and resilience. I bring that love and joy to every job. You are trusting me with someone so precious and I will never take that for granted.
