About Cheryl

I'd describe my personality as encouraging and compassionate, with a subtle dose of wit. I'm well suited to providing part-time or full-time home and personal care for one special senior who's currently able to communicate their needs and preferences. My caregiving journey began by supporting my aunt with weekly visits, which progressed to daily personal care and assistance as she underwent treatments for myeloma. We learned good routines that helped keep her dignity intact, many days with hair and makeup done. I also provided upkeep of a warm, welcoming home that was always ready for visitors. She was so grateful, I knew then I wanted to continue helping seniors. Shortly after my aunt had passed, I became a live-in care assistant for my brother who suffered a traumatic brain injury. His care needs required extensive cognitive exercises, structured routines, encouragement, meal prep, transportation to appointments, and yard maintenance.
