I first started working with children when I turned 16 at a church-run preschool in Tomball, Texas. I am now 21, almost 22. At Graceview, my job was to supervise ages 2-4-year-olds through-out the day. Priorities included safety during play along with helping the children with daily routines, such as: dressing, toileting, eating, and sleeping. When I got a better grasp on supervising children, I was then placed with the care of infants. I loved working with the babies! My job then was to watch, play and care for up to three (sometimes four) infants. I continued working with Graceview's Early Learning Center for three and a half more years. I have also worked for The Children's Courtyard, supervising junior prekindergarten. Although, I work well with ages ranging 3 months to toddlers (24 months), I am comfortable with all ages from those above to early preschool (3 to 4-year-olds), as well as children up to 10 years of age. My first in home nanny position started October of 2009 and consisted of caring for two wonderful children, now ages 1 year and 3 years. But, because of the economy, my employer lost her job causing me to look for a position elsewhere. I still babysit for them from time to time and go over to hang out (they became like family to me). I just moved into the Houston area (290 and 610) from Austin, but before I moved I was a nanny for one terrific little boy, age 4 months.
