Hi families! I'm Carissa, a social worker w/ both an A. A. & B. A degree in Social Work, specializing in children & families (child development, family systems, etc.). I have over 10 years of hands-on childcare experience across school, clinical, county, & independent nanny settings. I recently wrapped up a wonderful four-year nanny position & still provide babysitting support for that family, along with 2-3 other long-term families. I'm currently looking for additional evening and weekend babysitting gigs. My background in social work allows me to use evidence based practices, strong communication skills, & a calm, grounded approach to support children of all ages. Safety & emotional well being are always my top priorities.
