About Cameron

I have spent the last 8 years in Washington, DC teaching and working with PK3-8th grade children in a variety of educational capacities (ELL literacy interventions, after school programming, and classroom teaching). In fact, it was babysitting in high school and undergrad that actually inspired me to pursue a career in education. As a child, my parents encouraged my twin sister and I to explore a wide variety of activities and interests and they instilled us with the confidence we needed to take risks and learn from successes and failures alike. These are values that I seek to pass on to every student I teach and every child I babysit as I encourage children to embrace their innate creativity, explore new interests, and participate in new activities. Building authentic and sincere relationships with families and their children is a priority for me, whether as a teacher or a babysitter. In my spare time I enjoy reading, experimenting with new recipes, and meeting new people.
